How far can a studio website push its personality while remaining easy to use? We built LAB as an in-house space to explore that question. Oversized typography, sculptural imagery and a sharp orange-red accent establish a visual world that carries from the first screen into project stories, a journal and a concept shop. The brief was ours: give experimentation a useful structure, then follow the idea through to a complete, working website.
An in-house website by ydevstudio. The projects and shop objects presented within LAB are self-initiated concept studies.

A system with room to experiment.
A restrained black-and-white foundation gives the imagery room to speak. Large type, precise grids and recurring orange-red gestures connect very different compositions. The opening portrait sets the attitude; material studies, architectural forms and edition objects extend it through the rest of the experience. Each page has its own rhythm while sharing the same underlying rules.
The feeling survives the build.
Astro provides the page structure, with native animations and GSAP adding the movement. Destination curtains connect pages, headings resolve into focus, and desktop details respond to the pointer. Mobile layouts are composed for touch, with reduced-motion and keyboard paths considered throughout. Responsive images keep the artwork sharp without asking every device to download the largest file.
